Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Modivcare is looking for an experienced SDET II to join our team. This position is responsible for developing software solutions to test applications and systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality.

This role…

  • Develops and maintains automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality and performance across a variety of platforms.

  • Collaborates with software developers to identify and resolve defects and issues.

  • Participates in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, and testing.

  • Reviews and analyzes system specifications and documentation to ensure testability and alignment with business requirements.

  • Executes test cases (manual or automated), analyzes results, and identifies software defects.

  • Tracks, records, and manages bug resolution processes.

  • Performs regression testing to ensure stability of existing functionality.

  • Creates and maintains test documentation and reporting.

  • Applies testing processes for both new and existing products to meet client needs.

  • Coordinates with geographically distributed teams and internal stakeholders to define system requirements.

  • Stays current with industry testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.

  • May participate in other projects or duties as assigned.

We are interested in speaking with individuals with the following…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.

  • Three (3) plus years of experience in a software quality or development role.

  • Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar title.

  • Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript is required.

  • Proficiency in one or more additional programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Cucumber, BDD).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Experience in mobile, API, and database testing is a plus.

  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, agile frameworks, and regression testing.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset.

Salary:Β $81,000 - $111,400
