Selenium API - Software Development Engineer in Test

Role Overview:

As part of the Quality Engineering team for E commerce applications, you will play a key role in ensuring the functional accuracy, performance, and stability of our E commerce platform. The team collaborates closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Architecture to deliver secure, user-friendly, and high performing customer experiences.

This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India, development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the Role:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for both UI and API testing, ensuring scalable, reliable, and reusable test systems across E‑commerce applications.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to clarify requirements, identify defects early, drive root‑cause analysis, and ensure smooth, high‑quality releases.
• Enhance and enforce quality processes by improving test coverage, strengthening CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring adherence to Agile/Scrum practices.
• Take full ownership of product quality, proactively identifying risks, improving automation efficiency, and ensuring that E‑commerce workflows perform flawlessly at scale.

About You:

• We are looking  with 8–10 years of experience to lead automation and quality validation for our E‑commerce applications.
• The candidate must be strong in Java, Selenium, and API testing, with additional exposure to .NET, Node.js, SQL, and PostgreSQL. Candidates with experience in the Karate tool will have an advantage.
• Hands‑on E‑commerce domain experience is essential to understand complex workflows and ensure high-quality customer-facing releases.
• The role requires someone who is proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to collaborate effectively with remote teams while reporting to a Senior Manager or Director.
• Overall, we want a quality‑focused engineer who can take ownership, build robust automation, and significantly improve product reliability.
