Semiconductor Test Engineer
Job Description:
As a Test Engineer you will develop, modify, and sustain test software on a Cohu Diamondx Semiconductor ATE instrumentation for digital, analog, and mixed-signal ICs. You will create test software for state-of-the-art advanced technology devices in a fast-paced environment. You will manage test infrastructure, ensuring efficient/high-quality test processes, and mentoring other engineers requires on-site, in-office work. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience using the Cohu Diamondx platform and a career history of test program development from scratch based on design documentation and successful debug of silicon extending to production release.Β
Duties and Qualifications:
β’ Create/Modify/Sustain IC Test Programs
- Digest design documentation of complex ICs
- Create test specifications based on design documentation
- Develop test software consistent with the test specification
β’ Debug Packaged Silicon
- Troubleshoot test software and first silicon
- Modify test specifications and test programs in a disciplined, methodical manner
- Communicate issues, solution options, and results to team members
β’ Production Support
- Audit test software for compliance to the test specification
- Maintain test software configuration control in the Quality Management System
- Support the Quality system by complying with policy, procedures, and specifications to assure compliance to AS-9100
- Maintain calibration compliance of tester hardware
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve test-related issues
- Monitor test yields and implement corrective actions as required

- Mentor early career engineers in IC test methods and critical concepts
- Exemplify professional behavior and be a role model for others
- Communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholdersΒ
Qualifications:
β’ Must be a US Citizen
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred
β’ 10+ years of experience in semiconductor/IC test engineering and/or 5 years of Cohu Diamondx test program development experience
β’ Knowledge of IC packaging, wafer probe, and final test processes
β’ Proficiency with test program development and documentation
β’ Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
β’ Experience working with defense or aerospace customers is a plus
β’ Eligibility for a security clearance is a plus
