Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform QA Engineer to support the delivery of an internal cloud-native platform designed to accelerate the development and deployment of software products. This platform provides application teams with self-service capabilities for infrastructure, data, service lifecycle management, application build and delivery, as well as operational services. It is deployed in a hybrid cloud environment combining private and public cloud infrastructure.

About the Programme
The delivery programme focuses on optimising engineering workflows, increasing automation, and integrating modern development tools, including AI-assisted capabilities. The aim is to enable rapid iteration, reliable test automation, and safe deployment, while ensuring high quality and reducing lead times. The programme also emphasises proactive risk identification, deep technical analysis, and continuous improvement based on feedback loops from real-world usage.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain QA processes and best practices for the platform from the ground up

  • Develop and maintain automated tests for cloud-native services using tools such as Pytest

  • Perform testing in Linux/Unix environments

  • Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation

  • Create and manage comprehensive test documentation

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues in large-scale, cloud-native environments

  • Support the software development lifecycle within Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Contribute to architectural and operational reviews to identify and mitigate technical risks


Requirements


Eligibility

  • Residency in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland


Must-Have Experience

  • Proven track record in large-scale projects or programmes

  • Proficiency in Pytest and automation of cloud-native services

  • Strong Linux/Unix testing expertise

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles

  • Experience in test documentation management

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for cloud-native platforms

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing QA processes and frameworks

  • Hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation

  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum practices

Must-Have Language Skills

  • Fluent English (C1 level or above)

Preferred Experience

  • Multi-cloud environment experience and cloud-native testing approaches

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerisation, and orchestration technologies

  • Familiarity with TestRail or similar test management tools

  • Background in infrastructure platform projects
