Senior QA Engineer

Our recent growth has presented the opportunity to expand our quality assurance team.

We are currently recruiting for Senior Compliance Associate.

Main Interfaces

Reports to the Senior Compliance manager., and has regular interaction with all functions/clients (finance, operations, regulatory authorities)

Key Responsibilities & Outputs:

· Ensure that all activities at facilities are in compliance with all relevant regulations and SOPs

· Responsible for the coordination of regulatory filings with Health Canada and other regulatory agencies

· Prepare and Review regulatory documents such as applications, submissions, amendments, Annual reports,

· Responsible for audits with Health Canada, any regulatory authorities, vendor audits, third-party auditors and internal audits.

· Prepares and reviews Corrective action plan in response to regulatory authority inspections, third party audits or customer audits.

· Conduct audits of vendors processes on as need basis and Maintain vendor evaluation program.

· Continuous Improvement projects in Quality Department to improve Customer Satisfaction.

· Investigate customer issues/internal issues regarding our product quality and facilitate immediate resolution through permanent corrective actions.

· Support ongoing/new quality assurance initiatives and operation excellence initiatives, gather data, evaluate trends to perform product quality

· Review assessments as part of continuous product quality improvements/monitoring.

· Prepares and reviews Corrective action plan in response to regulatory authority inspections, third party audits or customer audits

· Review and manage all documentation related to regulatory submissions

· Co-ordinate requirements with cross functional departments as needed

· Responsible for review of and timely closure of change controls & CAPAs

· Assess training needs for new and existing employees

· Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs

· Performs other projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in GMP implementation, certification and/or environment
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and growing environment.
  • Willingness to continue learning about cannabis and stay on top of current and future trends.
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

Academic background:

  • Post-secondary degree in sciences or a related field is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 -5 years’ experience in Regulatory and compliance in cannabis, pharmaceuticals.
