Job Description

We're seeking an experienced and proactive Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic Scrum team. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software through rigorous testing practices and collaboration within the agile methodology.

Reporting to the Associate Director, IT, Agile Testing Lead, you will:

• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective), providing valuable insights on testability and quality.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and other team members to understand requirements and user stories, translating them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Utilize Python, Selenium and Pytest to develop and maintain automated test scripts, ensuring efficient and repeatable testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, and work collaboratively with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues and improve overall test coverage.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies within the agile framework.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding test progress, results, and potential risks.

Qualifications

You Have:

• Proficiency and hands-on experience in Cypress, JavaScript and Playwright for test automation.
• Extensive experience (4+ years) as a Software Tester, with a significant portion of that time working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Proven ability to create well-structured, comprehensive test plans and test cases from requirements and user stories.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
