About the Role

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our team working on cloud services and developer-focused products.

Innovator Edge, which our team works on, is a cloud extension layer for Innovator that exposes data and business processes through modern APIs, lightweight web applications, and an event-driven integration model. One of its key components, Edge Builder, is a platform for building lightweight, task-focused web applications. It provides a CLI, templates, automated deployment, and integration with GitHub and Azure, allowing developers to focus on application logic rather than infrastructure.

In this role, you will focus primarily on manual and exploratory testing of complex cloud services, many of which do not have a traditional UI and are primarily used by developers. Some services do have a UI, but the main focus is on service-level, API, and integration testing. You will be responsible for designing test scenarios, maintaining test documentation, and supporting quality across the product. Test automation is not the main focus of the role, but you will be expected to contribute to automation where it makes sense and to collaborate with developers on automated testing efforts.

Responsibilities

· Perform manual and exploratory testing of cloud services and developer-facing products

· Design, write, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test documentation

· Test APIs, CLI tools, and service integrations

· Test web-based UIs where applicable

· Participate in requirements and design discussions to identify risks and improve testability

· Work closely with developers to investigate issues and improve product quality

· Validate fixes, reproduce issues, and help drive them to resolution

· Contribute to testing strategies and overall quality improvements

· Participate in and support test automation efforts when appropriate

Requirements

· Experience as a QA Engineer / Software Tester

· Proven experience in test design and maintaining test documentation

· Experience in testing APIs and service-based systems

· Experience in CLI testing or working with command-line tools

· Basic development skills: ability to create simple applications or tools in Visual Studio (e.g., for testing, debugging, or repro scenarios)

· Good understanding of software development and testing principles

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with developers

· Proactive, comfortable with complex tasks, and a strong team player

· English level: Intermediate or higher (all the communication in English)

Nice to Have

· Experience with test automation or automated test frameworks

· Experience in testing cloud-based systems

· Experience with Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines

· Experience in testing web UIs for non-developer end users

· Experience with custom npm package testing
