Senior QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with strong manual testing expertise and mid-level automation skills to ensure high product quality while contributing to automation and continuous improvement initiatives. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will bring 4–6 years of QA experience, with strong expertise in manual and functional testing across the full SDLC, along with hands-on exposure to test automation frameworks. You will be responsible for end-to-end quality assurance, including test design, execution, defect management, and contributing to automation efforts to improve regression efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing Responsibilities

• Design, write, review, and execute test cases at functional, integration, and end-to-end levels
• Perform requirement analysis and ensure complete test coverage
• Conduct exploratory and regression testing
• Identify, log, and manage defects with clear root cause analysis
• Perform data validation and database testing using SQL
• Validate complex business workflows and edge cases
• Ensure timely escalation of critical issues
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and sprint activities

Automation Responsibilities (Mid-Level)

• Contribute to automation test development and maintenance
• Write and execute automated test scripts using, Playwright
• Support regression automation coverage improvements
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for test execution
• Debug and analyze automation failures
• Collaborate with senior automation engineers to enhance framework capabilities
• Follow best practices for scalable and maintainable automation

Required Experience & Skills:

• 4–6 years of experience in Software QA (Manual + Automation exposure)
• Strong expertise in manual testing across SDLC
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments
• Hands-on experience in test case design, execution, and defect management
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL for data validation
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools
• Good understanding of API testing (Postman/REST)
• Hands-on experience with Playwright
• Proficiency in at least one language: JavaScript/TypeScript,
• Experience with frameworks like Cucumber, NUnit
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git version control
• Basic understanding of BDD (Cucumber/SpecFlow)

Nice to Have

• ISTQB or equivalent certification
• Experience in performance testing (JMeter or similar)
• Experience with complex enterprise systems (3-tier architectures)
