Role Description:

Are you someone who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with others, and ensuring systems work the way they’re supposed to? At LSEG, we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who is curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about building trust in our software through thoughtful testing.

In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive, cross-functional team working on some of the most impactful platforms in financial services. You’ll contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, and help ensure our products deliver consistent, high-quality experiences for users around the world.

Whether you are debugging issues, designing test cases, or working alongside developers and analysts, you’ll have a voice in how we deliver software β€” and the opportunity to grow your skills along the way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to understand requirements and workflows

  • Design and execute both manual and automated test cases

  • Contribute to regression testing and maintain test documentation

  • Use SQL to verify data integrity and backend system behavior

  • Extend automated test scripts in a Java-based test framework

  • Participate in Agile planning, refinement, and review sessions

  • Clearly report test results, including evidence, coverage, and identified issues

  • Suggest ways to improve quality early in the development lifecycle

  • Help shape our overall approach to testing and test automation

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing

  • Experience writing and maintaining manual test scenarios

  • Strong attention to detail and structured thinking

  • Working knowledge of SQL and ability to read/write queries

  • Exposure to test automation (especially Java-based frameworks)

  • Interest in learning tools like Postman or REST Assured for API testing

  • Comfort working in Agile teams and collaborating with peers across fields

  • Ability to clearly document test evidence and communicate findings

Helpful Experience (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD or similar)

  • Experience using reporting tools like Allure or Extent Reports

  • Exposure to microservices or event-driven systems

  • Basic scripting (e.g., Python, Bash)

  • Background in finance, trading, or data-heavy platforms
