Job Summary

The Senior QA Engineer (SDET/Automation) plays a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products within the Consumer Solutions Team. This position is focused on designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks, as well as maintaining robust testing strategies across web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate combines strong coding skills with deep QA expertise to create scalable, efficient, and reusable test automation solutions. Close collaboration with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders is essential to align testing efforts with business objectives, accelerate release cycles, and deliver a seamless consumer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks and performance strategies for .NET applications, microservices, APIs, and data workflows.

  • Perform comprehensive validation of backend systems and data pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and data integrity across SQL and NoSQL environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective QA strategies, aligning efforts with Agile sprint goals.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and analyze distributed systems, contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement of testing practices.

  • Document test strategies, manage defects and test cases in JIRA, and integrate QA efforts into CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 5–9 years of QA experience with strong expertise in backend, API, and data testing.

  • Proven background in load, stress, and performance testing for backend systems.

  • Proficiency in automation tools/frameworks such as Cypress, Postman, or REST Assured.

  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with effective communication in Agile teams.

  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr) and technical documentation across the SDLC.
