Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

The Engineering Team builds tools enabling customers to deploy applications on cloud instances with a single click. These tools simplify deployment and allow users to create applications for Akamai Cloud Marketplace. The team's work ensures seamless user experiences and supports both customer success and Akamai's business objectives.

Work with cutting edge technology

This role involves automating one-click applications on the Akamai Cloud marketplace while ensuring compliance with security policies. Collaboration with stakeholders is required to develop automation that maintains application updates and adherence to standards.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET.Senior), you will be responsible for:

• Developing comprehensive test automation frameworks for owned systems, covering functional and non-functional testing aspects.
• Ensuring stakeholder collaboration to verify one-click app submissions align with policies, testing, and automation.
• Using your software development skills to design and develop test automation frameworks and tools required for testing
• Creating and executing functional (integration, system) and non-functional (usability, performance, security) tests
• Performing technical risk assessment and contributing to decisions related to release readiness and schedules

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Possess relevant experience and equivalent qualifications in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Demonstrate experience and knowledge of programming languages such as Python
• Have experience developing or testing applications on Cloud and in Linux environment
• Demonstrate expertise of Test automation & framework development.
• Demonstrate ability to understand & work with the scripting such as BASH scripts
• Be detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills
