Senior Software QA Engineer

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join our team and contribute to vPenTest – a cutting-edge automated network penetration testing platform developed by Vonahi Security. We help organizations assess and improve their cybersecurity posture by automating network security testing, simulating real-world attack scenarios, and identifying vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them. 

This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive manual tester who can ensure the reliability and security of the platform by performing functional, regression, and exploratory testing. You will work closely with developers, automation testers, and security engineers to improve software quality and contribute to the overall test strategy. 

Skills & Experience: 

• 3-5+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer 

• Strong English verbal and written communication skills 

• Experience in manual testing for web applications and APIs 

• Experience in backend testing using developer tools 

• Strong understanding of testing processes and software development lifecycle (SDLC) 

• Ability to read and understand automation test reports 

• Experience with Jira, Zephyr, Confluence 

• Experience with Postman for API testing 

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies 

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows 

• Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing 

• Knowledge of Continuous Testing and Continuous Delivery (CT/CD) 

• Experience with browser dev tools for debugging and investigating issues 

• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment 

Responsibilities: 

Manual Testing: 

• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing 

• Create and execute detailed test cases 

• Ensure quality across different browsers and platforms 

Defect Management: 

• Identify, document, and track issues in Jira 

• Work with developers to ensure issues are resolved efficiently 

Quality Assurance & Reporting: 

• Monitor and analyze test results 

• Contribute to defining the overall test strategy 

• Continuously improve testing processes and internal documentation 

Collaboration: 

• Work closely with developers, automation testers, and security engineers 

• Improve system testability and support the creation of a testing environment 

Automation Testing on the Project: 

Although this is a manual testing role, the project also includes automation testing. Understanding automation frameworks and tools is a plus. The automation testing stack includes: 

• Java + TestNG + Cucumber 

• Selenium 

• Allure reporting 

• RestAssured (API testing) 

• CI/CD (GitHub Actions) 

We work hybrid mode (3 days from the office and 2 days remote per week) at Krakow office, and that is mandatory.
