Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned ServiceNow QA Lead/Test Manager to spearhead the testing strategy, automation efforts, and overall quality assurance for our ServiceNow implementations. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge in manual and automated testing across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM, as well as in integration scenarios. This role will oversee test planning and execution while collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and various stakeholders.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in manual and automated testing for ServiceNow platforms.
  • Expertise in creating test strategies, plans, and cases for ServiceNow applications and integrations.
  • Proficient in automated test frameworks including ATF and Selenium.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA, HP ALM, and Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior QA team members.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Test Strategy & Planning
  2. Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and cases for ServiceNow applications and integrations.
  3. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and customized applications.
  4. Establish best practices in testing and QA within Agile/DevOps settings.
  5. Functional, Regression & Automation Testing
  6. Conduct manual testing for ServiceNow workflows, user interfaces, and APIs.
  7. Design and execute automated test scripts using ATF and Selenium.
  8. Conduct compatibility and performance testing over ServiceNow updates and patches.
  9. API & Integration Testing
  10. Validate integrations of ServiceNow with external tools such as SAP, Salesforce, Workday, and AWS.
  11. Perform REST/SOAP API validations using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
  12. Test Management & Defect Tracking
  13. Leverage tools like JIRA, ServiceNow Test Management, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps for defect tracking.
  14. Lead defect triage sessions and manage resolution of issues.
  15. Provide comprehensive test reporting, dashboards, and analytics to stakeholders.
  16. CI/CD & DevOps Integration
  17. Collaborate with DevOps teams to incorporate testing into CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  18. Facilitate the execution of automated regression tests as part of the release cycle.
  19. Leadership & Collaboration
  20. Guide and mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in QA.
  21. Work closely with developers, business analysts, and ServiceNow administrators to enhance quality.
  22. Engage in ServiceNow upgrade tests and impact assessments.
