The Impact you will have in this role:
The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) role encompasses automation development and execution, functional, and non-functional testing. The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and execute automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements

The SDET Associate is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Back Testing (BT) and Stress Testing (ST) Risk applications through a combination of functional testing and test automation. This role partners with development, product, and risk teams to validate scenario execution, data flows, and calculation outputs, while contributing to automated testing frameworks and continuous testing practices. The individual is expected to operate independently on test execution while continuing to grow in automation, domain knowledge, and quality engineering practices.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
Β
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to validate application functionality and data integrity.Β
- Perform functional, regression, and data validation testing for BT/ST workflows, including scenarios, calculations, and reporting outputs.
- Create and maintain test cases and test scenarios, ensuring traceability from requirements to execution.Β
- Validate large datasets using SQL and backend testing techniques across ETL pipelines and batch processes.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and refine test coverage.
- Track defects, support troubleshooting, and contribute to root cause analysis and resolution.
- Support continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines and adhere to SDLC, risk, and control standards.
- Contribute to building endβtoβend business scenarios aligned with risk processes and objectives.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in software testing and/or test automation
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Β
Talents Needed for Success:
Technical & Automation Skills
- Handsβon experience in test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, Java, or similar).
- Strong experience in SQL and database validation; familiarity with ETL/data pipeline testing.Β
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
Β
Domain & Testing Expertise:
- Good understanding of functional and regression testing methodologies.
- Experience with dataβintensive applications and ability to validate complex outputs.
- Familiarity with Back Testing and Stress Testing concepts (preferred).

- Strong analytical and problemβsolving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Understanding of Agile and software development lifecycle practices.
