About BidOne
BidOne is a local New Zealand company with a truly global presence. Every day, thousands of businesses around the world place orders with their wholesale suppliers through our ecommerce and CRM platforms, spanning five continents.
At BidOne, we care about building solid software β and strong teams. We have a collaborative, supportive culture with a shared sense of responsibility for delivering technology that matters. Our software reflects the real needs of the foodservice businesses we support, and because we sit at the heart of their operations, reliability and trust are core to everything we do.
βNever lose an orderβ isnβt just a slogan β itβs how we work, together.
The Role
We need a techie who is active in open-source projects and loves figuring out how to work smarter not harder. Youβll be creating momentum within the team as we journey towards seamless CI/CD and fully automated pipelines. You are someone who has the passion to help us drive the shift toward a modern Quality Engineering (QE) mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Help the team drive CI/CD in the team, turning "deployment readiness" into a fast, automated reality.
- Develop and Design effective test plans to make sure we deliver the right thing to the customer.
- Work with delivery and business owners to effectively coordinate user acceptance testing.
- Coordinate security and regulatory checks to make sure our code is safe and compliant before release and compliance gaps to ensure high-quality releases.
- AI is no longer an experiment; itβs an infrastructure. We would like you to help drive the use of AI within your team and the wider QA Chapter.
- Youβll help us move quality earlier into the design phase (Shift-Left) and use monitoring to see how things perform in the real world (Shift-Right).
- Collaborate with product and engineering to streamline the release process and ensure all quality gates are met.
- Youβll look at our current manual processes and find ways to replace it with smart, AI-driven solutions that give us a high Return on Investment (ROI).
Who You Are
We care way more about your mindset and passion for technology than a specific list of coding languages.
- You have strong interest in software architecture.
- You are excited about AI-powered testing and want to stay ahead of the curve.
- Youβre a fan of cloud environments (we use Azure).
- You have a strong understanding in modern automation test frameworks.
- You arenβt afraid to be the person who steps forward to set a new direction or a new standard.
- You have many QA related certifications showing your strong involvement in the QA space.
- You are university grad (CS/Info Systems/Engineering) or a self-taught pro with a solid track record in the industry.
- You have a 'customer-first' mindset, always looking at our tech through the eyes of the people using it.
We strongly encourage applications from anyone who is underrepresented in tech. If this role sounds like you but youβre not sure you tick every box β weβd still love to hear from you.
What We Offer

- Weβre all about using the latest tech to solve real-world problems.
- Competitive pay, great benefits, and opportunities to grow.
- Hybrid working environment (3 days in-office time in Auckland required).

- A company that values people just as much as code.
We will only consider applications from candidates who currently have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
