Key Responsibilities
You will emphasize partnership and servant leadership within your team and the organization, collaborating closely with engineers, business stakeholders, and data science teams to design, test, and deliver scalable, cloud-native enterprise solutions. In this role, you will contribute to building test automation for feature-rich, high-performing applications using technologies such as React/HTML, C#, REST APIs, Docker, and MS/Progress SQL, while ensuring these solutions are production-ready and integrated seamlessly with broader enterprise platforms.
Working in a fast-paced Agile environment, you will play a critical role as an SDET/QA specialist, conducting both manual and automated testing to ensure software meets defined business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. You will develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines to improve testing efficiency, reliability, and overall software quality.
You will actively participate in technical discussions and code reviews, championing a strong culture of quality, test automation, and engineering excellence. Additionally, you will continuously enhance your own skills and contribute to the growth of the team through experimentation, training, and knowledge sharing.

Required For This Opportunity
- Strong experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright (preferred), Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
- Proficiency with development tools such as Visual Studio / VS Code and Git, including version control best practices and collaborative workflows.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
- Experience designing and executing end-to-end automated tests, including UI, API, integration, and regression coverage.
- Hands-on experience with exploratory and manual testing, applying critical thinking and product knowledge to uncover issues efficiently.
- Strong experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or equivalent frameworks.
- Proficiency with relational databases (MS SQL, Progress SQL), including query development, optimization, and validation of data integrity.
- Experience creating and maintaining complex test data sets to support automated and manual testing scenarios.
- Proven ability to plan, design, and implement comprehensive test strategies, including defining acceptance criteria (Gherkin preferred) and test scenarios.
- Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management, user stories, sprint planning, test case management, reporting, and dashboards and the ability to define, track, and report on test metrics, coverage, and quality indicators.
- Strong collaboration skills working with product owners, architects, and developers to ensure systems are designed for quality, security, performance, and testability.
- Experience participating in code reviews to validate requirements, improve test coverage, and promote quality-first engineering practices.
- Ability to identify and test code for potential security vulnerabilities including the OWASP Top 10.
- Proven ability to identify, track, and resolve defects, working closely with cross-functional teams to diagnose and remediate issues.
- Experience supporting performance, load, stress, and security testing, with understanding of associated analysis and tuning.
- Experience managing and configuring test environments, ensuring readiness, stability, and proper release validation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate testing outcomes, risks, and priorities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated professional with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and continuously improve, demonstrating a passion for learning new testing tools, automation strategies, and emerging technologies.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools, specifically GitHub Copilot
- Experience integrating automation test code into CI/CD pipeline processes in Azure DevOps, including YAML-based configurations and quality gates ensuring continuous validation and rapid feedback loops.
- Experience with Azure DevOps queries, reports, and dashboards.
- OWASP Top 10 familiarity
- Previous insurance industry experience is preferred. The ideal candidate has underwriting or reinsurance domain knowledge.
