Test Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality software that makes a real impact in healthcare? We’re seeking a driven Software Test Engineer to help shape the future of medical imaging solutions. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in developing and executing both manual and automated test cases, working hand-in-hand with talented developers and testers in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating and executing tests for new feature development by participating in requirements and design reviews, understanding and capturing business needs, and incorporating business logic into test strategies and scenarios.
  • Developing and reviewing new test cases, selecting regression tests, reporting defects, and validating bug fixes
  • Understanding and applying software testing best practices to ensure that the team delivers high quality software
  • Managing test infrastructure, including software labs, example datasets, and regression test suites
  • Ensuring that internal quality processes are followed and contributing to verification and validation plans, test reports, and other documentation that complies with regulatory requirements
  • Integrating with Test Engineers on other product teams to help support and drive consolidation of tools and best practices within Canon Medical

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Test
  • Experience with Test Management and Defect Tracking tools
  • Experience designing, developing, and executing test cases
  • Experience with Continuous Integration, Test Automation and scripting

  • Focus on quality and detail
  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to ongoing process improvementΒ 
  • Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Clinical workflow familiarity: Experience in a clinical environment and/or with medical imaging workflows or software (e.g., radiology, PACS/viewers, CT/MR/US), or strong interest in learning the clinical domain to better understand end-user needs
  • AI-forward mindset: Curiosity and initiative in applying AI-assisted tools to improve testing work (e.g., test design, exploratory testing, automation, defect triage, or analysis)

COMPENSATION

$75,310 - $112,970, dependent on experience

Our compensation philosophy is designed to ensure fair and equitable pay practices that are both marketҀ‘competitive and internally consistent. Salary ranges are established using external market data and are intended to reflect the full scope of experience, skills, and proficiency levels associated with the role.

As part of our standard hiring practice, we aim extend offers at or near the midpoint of the range for candidates who are fully qualified and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and experience required to perform the role independently and effectively. Final compensation decisions may vary based on individual qualifications, experience, and other jobҀ‘related factors, while remaining within the established range.
