Software Tester

Key Responsibilities

Understand and analyze business and functional requirements.

Prepare detailed test cases, test data, and test scenarios based on requirements.

Perform various types of testing including:

• • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • UI/UX Testing
  • Smoke/Sanity TestingExecute test cases and record results accurately.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues.
• Validate bug fixes and re-test after code changes.
• Participate in sprint reviews and daily stand-ups to ensure QA alignment.
• Maintain clear documentation for test cases, results, and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–3 years of experience as a Manual Tester / QA Analyst.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience with test case design techniques and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Knowledge of testing web and/or mobile applications.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries for data validation.
• Basic knowledge of Selenium and how it automates browser actions.
• Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
