SQA Analyst

The Division: 

Covaleyo, a division of Andromeda (an operating group of Constellation Software Inc.), offers an integrated lending platform that streamlines the entire lending process. Their solutions are designed to be agile, scalable, and adaptable, ensuring that financial institutions can meet the evolving needs of their clients efficiently and effectively. 
 

The Position: 

We are looking for an SQA Analyst to join our product team and support ongoing development of Prolender, our loan origination system. This role will focus initially on validating UI redesigns against approved prototypes and ensuring functional parity with existing screens. Over time, the role will expand to include deeper functional and API-level testing. 

This is a hands-on testing role suited for someone who is detail-oriented, methodical, and comfortable learning a complex financial system. 

The hired candidate will be located and work out of the Contour Software Lahore office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department. 

Key Responsibilities:

Initial Focus (UI & Regression Testing) 

• Learn the Prolender system, including workflows, screens, and core business logic 

• Test newly redesigned UI screens to ensure: 

• Visual alignment with design prototypes (layout, spacing, labels, behavior) 

• Functional equivalence with legacy screens 

• Validate user interactions, form behavior, validation rules, and navigation 

• Identify, document, and clearly report defects with steps to reproduce 

• Work closely with product, design, and development teams to clarify expected behavior 

Ongoing / Expanded Responsibilities:

• Perform functional and regression testing for new features 

• Execute test cases for new APIs and backend functionality 

• Validate data integrity and system behavior across UI and API layers 

• Contribute to test case documentation and test coverage improvements 

• Participate in release validation and smoke testing 

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• 2–4 years of experience in software QA or testing roles 

•  Hands-on knowledge/experience of web technologies and testing experience. 

• Strong attention to detail, especially for UI and visual validation. 

• Ability to compare designs/prototypes with implemented UI and identify discrepancies. 

• Clear written communication for bug reporting and documentation. 

• Comfortable learning and testing a complex business application. 

• Familiarity with basic QA concepts: regression testing, functional testing, smoke testing. 

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (English). 

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing financial, banking, or loan-related systems 

• Exposure to API testing (Postman or similar tools) 

• Experience working with design tools (Figma, Zeplin, etc.) 

• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams 

• Basic understanding of SQL or data validation 

Tools & Environment :

• Web-based enterprise application 

• Design prototypes provided by product/design teams 

• Issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira or similar) 

• Collaboration with remote product and engineering teams 

What Success Looks Like:

• UI releases match prototypes with minimal rework 

• Bugs are caught early and clearly communicated 

• Growing understanding of the Prolender system and its workflows 

• Gradual progression from UI-focused testing to deeper functional and API testing
