Introduction
The MTS Test Equipment & Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining test equipment and process capabilities to meet manufacturing, quality, and operational goals. Based in Singapore, this role serves as a senior technical contributor and team lead, providing technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations and the supply base. The role plays a key part in ensuring robust test coverage, product reliability, and compliance with safety and industry standards.
Responsibilities
Develop, optimize and sustain Test Equipment & Process capability to meet operations goals.
Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:
Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed
Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates
Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions
Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements
Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.
Required qualifications
Bachelorβs Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; Masterβs Degree is an added advantage.
6β10 years of relevant experience in test engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering within a high-tech or regulated environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and act as a subject matter expert without direct authority.
Strong expertise in test equipment design, process control, data analysis, and failure analysis methodologies.
Proven experience mentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Hands-on experience collaborating with suppliers and driving supplier quality and process improvements.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
