Who are we looking for?

We are searching for a flexible, adaptable, and passionate individual eager to learn and grow, to join us as a Senior QA Engineer within our VFG Consulting vertical.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Implement CI/CD testing automation within pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
  • Perform load and performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
  • Lead test automation strategy and improve testing processes.
  • Ensure adherence to QA best practices and maintain quality standards.

RequirementsΒ 

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and test case design.
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of API testing with tools like Postman or RestAssured.
  • Experience with performance and load testing using JMeter or Gatling.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Nice to have

  • Experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Exposure to containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, etc.).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Advanced English proficiency.

    This position is open to applicants from anywhere. If based in Uruguay, you have the option to work in a hybrid format.
