Test Lead

State Street is seeking a skilled and proven Test Manager to lead Alpha Business Platform Upgrade implementation / project in China.Β 

As a Test Manager, you will / should

  • Plan, lead & Execute the End-to-End onboarding delivery to the client by understanding client requirements, based on project milestones.
  • Perform business analysis, requirement analysis & solutioning, and project management tasks to facilitate the upgrade process.
  • Have demonstrated record of leading & driving testing projects.
  • Be good at financial planning and resource management for including timeline/resource estimation, budget to actual, etc.,
  • Handle team management responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with both local and global functional teams for understanding requirements and both functional End-to-End validations.
  • Partnering with a global testing team to pick up and share testing best practice and standards.
  • Build Test Strategy/Approach and Test Cases by understanding the client service model and requirements.
  • Handle the delivery in testing environment, understand the end-to-end work flow, and trouble-shoot issues.
  • Manage and report defects to both internal & external stakeholders.
  • Track and report testing status to both internal & external stakeholders.
  • Lead & drive discussion both internal & external stakeholders in discussions such as for defect triage & test status reporting & update.
  • Clear understanding of a typical implementation & testing cycle.
  • Possess good problem solving skills and take result-oriented work approach.
  • Be proficient in English in both written & verbal communication
  • Possess the needed knowledge & skills for testing of the different Alpha services including but not limited to:
    • Middle Office Transaction Management
    • IBOR Record Keeping
    • Data Management Service for different types of data such as ABOR, IBOR, Performance Data, etc.,
    • Report or Data Delivery to the client

The ideal candidate:

  • 10-12 years overall experience with 8-10 years of relevant functional testing and capital market background; OR 10+ years of experience in Financial Services Industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or Information System Management
  • Financial Services background and solid understanding of Investment
  • Proficiency in State Street Alpha Tools & Applications in a plus
  • Command of good SQL skills and good knowledge on tools used for testing (such as automation tools, robotic tools, etc.,) is an advantage
  • Self-directed to drive tasks through to completion
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and influence peers, managers and senior leaders,
  • Exemplifies customer focused & team driven mentality
  • Seek continuous improvement of processes and adopt standardized & repeatable practices
