Position Overview

Blooper Biotech, Inc. is seeking an experienced Test Lead to oversee software and systems testing across our clinical and research technology platforms. The Test Lead will be responsible for designing test strategies, coordinating test execution, and ensuring quality standards are met before product releases and regulatory submissions. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and regulatory teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own test strategies, test plans, and test cases for new and existing systems.
• Lead and mentor a small team of QA/test analysts to ensure consistent execution.
• Manage end-to-end testing activities including functional, integration, regression, and UAT.
• Coordinate defect management, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and regulatory teams to ensure requirements are validated and compliant.
• Ensure testing processes align with industry standards, including GxP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
• Provide regular reports on testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing methodology, automation, and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of software testing experience, including at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Strong knowledge of test methodologies, QA processes, and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
• Experience working in regulated environments (biotech, pharma, medical devices) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
