Responsabilidades:
We seek The Test Lead for the HRIS implementation is responsible for coordinating and driving the execution of testing activities across assigned HRIS modules and business processes. Working under the direction of the Program Test Manager, the Test Lead ensures that test scenarios, scripts, environments, and data are prepared and that testing activities are executed effectively across all test phases.
The role acts as the primary coordination point between business SMEs, functional consultants, technical teams, and the Test Manager to ensure that testing progresses according to plan, defects are managed appropriately, and the HRIS solution is validated for deployment.
Test Planning & Preparation
Prepare and maintain detailed test execution plans for assigned HRIS modules in alignment with the program Test Strategy and overall Test Plan.
Coordinate the development and review of test scenarios, scripts, and test data for assigned HRIS modules (e.g., Core HR, Payroll, Compensation, Talent).
Ensure traceability between business requirements, system configuration, and test cases.
Coordinate readiness of test environments, system access, and test data with technical and data teams.
Configure and maintain test management tools (e.g., Jira/Xray or equivalent) to support execution tracking, traceability, and defect management.
Ensure testing prerequisites are met before execution begins.
Test Execution
Lead and coordinate day-to-day test execution activities across SMEs and business testers, Workday and IT teams where applicable.
Coordinate execution of test cases and review test results for completeness, accuracy, and coverage.
Track execution progress against agreed timelines and ensure test activities remain aligned with program milestones.
Coordinate testing activities across key phases including: System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing.
Ensure appropriate test evidence is captured and stored in accordance with programme governance requirements.
Identify and escalate test execution risks, blockers, or environment issues.
Defect Management
Log defects with clear, detailed information and replicate issues when possible.
Monitor defect progress, retesting, and closure within SLAs.
Facilitate module-level defect triage sessions with functional teams, technical teams, and vendors.
Identify patterns or recurring issues and escalate risks early.
Track defect trends and provide visibility of defect status and risks to the Test Manager.
Integration & Data Validation
Coordinate validation of integrations between the HRIS platform and connected systems such as payroll, finance, identity management, and reporting platforms.
Ensure integration flows and system dependencies are appropriately tested across environments.
Support testing of data migration cycles, including validation and reconciliation between legacy and target HRIS systems.
Ensure migrated data supports successful execution of HR business processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with HR business process owners, functional leads, IT teams, and system integrators.
Act as the primary coordination point for testing activities within assigned HRIS modules or business processes.
Communicate testing progress, key issues, and risks to the Test Manager and project leadership.
Support cross-functional testing including integrations, data migration validation, workflows, and security roles.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate test artifacts including test scenarios and scripts, test execution results, defect logs, test evidence and documentation.
Provide module-level status updates and contribute to test summary reports.
Support final test sign-off and go-live readiness activities.
Team Coordination & Support
Coordinate testing activities across business testers, SMEs, and functional teams.
Provide guidance to business testers and SMEs in understanding on testing processes, tools, and documentation requirements.
Provide hands-on coaching on test execution and defect reporting.
Ensure adherence to defined testing process standards, governance processes, and quality expectations.
Coordinate tester participation and ensure adequate functional coverage during test cycles.
Key Competencies
Experience supporting testing within HRIS implementations such as Workday, Oracle HCM, or SAP SuccessFactors.
Strong understanding of HR business processes including Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Compensation, and organisational data structures and payroll. (should we include payroll here as well?)
Experience coordinating testing activities across business SMEs, functional consultants, and technical teams.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira/Xray or similar platforms.
Strong organisational, coordination, and communication skills with the ability to manage testing activities across multiple stakeholders.
