The Role
The Test Lead is responsible for overseeing end-to-end testing and quality assurance across a customer ICT portfolio, including Identity Platforms (Okta), Integration Services (AWS), and enterprise applications.
Reporting to the Principal Consultant, you will lead testing strategy, governance, planning, and execution across both BAU operations and concurrent project delivery streams. You will work closely with customer stakeholders, engineers, product owners, and delivery teams to ensure predictable, secure, and high-quality outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced enterprise environments, enjoys mentoring teams, and is passionate about modern quality engineering and automation practices.
What Youβll Be Doing
Test Strategy & Planning
- Own and maintain the customer Test Strategy across all environments including DEV, TEST, UAT, TRN, and PROD.
- Develop and manage test plans, schedules, acceptance criteria, and release testing activities.
- Define risk-based testing approaches across Identity, Integration, and Application workstreams.
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple concurrent customer projects and BAU initiatives.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, test scenarios, and execution outcomes.
Test Governance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with customer testing policies, SDLC standards, cyber security requirements, and governance frameworks.
- Lead test reviews, sprint showcases, defect triage sessions, and test closure activities.
- Review test artefacts, automation outcomes, and security scan results to ensure quality standards are met.
- Drive improvements in testing maturity, defect reduction, release quality, and delivery predictability.
- Support audit readiness and governance reporting activities.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead, mentor, and support testing and quality engineering team members.
- Manage workload allocation, sprint priorities, and testing capacity planning.
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders, project managers, developers, architects, and third-party vendors.
- Present test progress updates, risks, and quality metrics to delivery and customer leadership teams.
- Facilitate collaborative problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee the design and maintenance of automated regression suites using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, and BDD frameworks.
- Expand automation coverage across enterprise platforms and customer applications.
- Govern non-functional testing including performance, scalability, resilience, and security testing.
- Champion modern testing practices including AI-assisted testing, CI/CD integration, and shift-left quality engineering.
- Continuously improve testing standards, tooling, frameworks, and operational processes.
Identity & Integration Testing
- Ensure testing coverage for Okta platform changes including SSO, MFA, SCIM integrations, Lambda adapters, and Terraform deployments.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, SVT, and post-deployment validation activities.
- Oversee after-hours production verification testing where required.
- Validate integration outcomes across AWS services, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
- Ensure testing activities align with operational controls and customer compliance requirements.
