Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer – Infrastructure & Patching
Experience Required: 7–10 years of relevant automation experience
Location: Pune/ Noida

Role Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure automation, particularly patching automation across operating systems and databases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and implementing end-to-end automation solutions using tools such as Ansible, Rundeck, MFO, and scripting languages like Python.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for patching (Databases and OS).
• Build and maintain Automation Workflows using Rundeck, Ansible, and MFO.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and templates for infrastructure operations.
• Create and maintain scripts using Python and other scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell).
• Integrate automation workflows with monitoring, scheduling, and orchestration tools.
• Collaborate with OS, Database, and Security teams to ensure compliant and scalable automation.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and optimize existing automation processes.
• Document automation designs, workflows, and operational procedures.

Mandatory Skills:

• Automation Tools:
  
  • Ansible (playbooks, roles, inventories)
  • Rundeck (job orchestration, scheduling)
  • MFO (Managed File Processing / relevant enterprise automation tool)
• Programming & Scripting:
  
  • Python (strong hands-on experience)
  • Shell scripting (Bash) and/or PowerShell
• Automation Expertise:
  
  • Proven experience implementing patching automation solutions
  • Automation for large-scale enterprise environments
• Experience Level:
  
  • Minimum 7–10 years in automation or infrastructure automation roles

Added Advantage (Good to Have):

• Strong knowledge of Operating Systems:
  
  • Linux (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu)
  • Windows Server
• Database Knowledge:
  
  • Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases
  • Understanding of database patching concepts
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps tools
• Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements related to patching

• Hands-on experience automating patching at scale
