The Test Lead will work within the Rest DTD, Quality Assurance team to provide a range of testing services to ensure the successful release and deployment of software to the wider Rest business. This role exists to ensure the quality and reliability of software by leading the planning, execution, and management of testing activities within Agile & waterfall projects. This role is crucial in identifying and mitigating risks early, ensuring that defects are promptly addressed, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality software that meets business and user needs.

Key Accountabilities/ResponsibilitiesΒ 

  • Ensure the β€œTest-Driven Delivery” is followed by adopting a shift-left testing approach for the overall test strategy aligned with the project goals and Agile methodologies.
  • Create and maintain Test Strategy, Test plans, test Summary Reports ensuring they are continuously updated to reflect changes in the project to identify potential risks early in the project and plan mitigation strategies.
  • Β Coordinate and manage test execution activities, ensuring they align with the Project delivery goals and timelines. In addition, oversee the creation, review, and management of test cases in Zephyr, ensuring they cover all functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure Jira and Zephyr are configured optimally to support the testing process, customizing dashboards, workflows, and reports as needed to track and manage test execution status as well as defects, ensuring timely reporting, prioritization, and resolution in collaboration with development teams
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on testing goals and regularly communicate test progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation and collaborate with the automation team to implement automated tests where applicable.
  • Continuously assess and improve testing processes, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and industry best practices and provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing function and contributing towards DTD QA Roadmap.
  • Collaborate & coordinate with vendors around implementation of testing activities and test phases in line with project goals and timelines

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in technology, project management or relevant business disciplineΒ 
  • Formal QA certificationΒ 

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:Β 

  • Significant career experience in QA or other technology or project management related discipline
  • Understanding of superannuation industry practices and standards, specifically relating to member services.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in an Agile-driven project environment
  • Experience in Digital Transformation projects in multi-vendor work environment.
  • Demonstrated hands on experience in coordinating and supporting UAT for large programs.
  • Ability to work autonomously and act as the point of contact on projects where required.
  • Industry experience within Superannuation is preferred.
  • Familiar with Investment Data Platform, Private Market and/or Responsible Investment data management frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage meaningfully with key stakeholder
