Job Description β Test Lead (PACS Migration Project)
Summary
The Test Lead will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing the overall testing strategy for the PACS migration project, including the change, merge, and integration of PACS and other Radiology Information Systems (RIS) applications. This role ensures testing accuracy and quality across all phases of the migration to deliver a seamless transition with minimal operational disruption.Key Responsibilities
- β’ Define and manage the overall testing strategy and governance framework for the PACS migration and associated RIS application changes.
- β’ Lead the creation, execution, and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and automated scripts to validate PACS and RIS migrations, integrations, and enhancements.
- β’ Oversee functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for PACS and RIS platforms.
- β’ Manage testing activities related to system merges, data migrations, and workflow consolidation across multiple sites.
- β’ Ensure traceability between business requirements, technical specifications, and test deliverables.
- β’ Direct the defect management lifecycle, ensuring timely logging, prioritization, resolution, and verification of all issues.
- β’ Coordinate testing with project managers, solution architects, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure alignment with the migration roadmap.
- β’ Provide go-live readiness assessments and risk-based recommendations to leadership.
- β’ Mentor and guide testing coordinators and analysts, promoting best practices in testing methodologies and automation.
Experience & Skills
- β’ 10+ years of experience in IT testing, with at least 5 years in a test lead role for enterprise-scale application migrations.
- β’ Strong expertise in PACS preferably in Change & Merge PACS systems and RIS platforms, including change and merge initiatives across multi-site healthcare environments.
- β’ Hands-on experience in data migration validation, workflow testing, and performance benchmarking for imaging systems.
- β’ Experience with test automation frameworks and performance testing tools.
- β’ Knowledge of integration points between PACS, RIS, and EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
- β’ Strong understanding of compliance requirements such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2.
- β’ Proven leadership skills with the ability to engage technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership effectively.
