We are looking for an ambitious and pragmatic Test Lead to strengthen our team of IT Integrators.
As Test Lead you are the linking pin between the Test Center Of Excellence and the FM/GT tribe and you promote and implement the best testing practices in the tribe.
The team
You will be part of a team of IT Integrators in the Financial Markets and Group Treasury tribe (FM>). The IT Integrator is a senior role in the tribe. You are responsible for cross-team coordination and collaboration, so that teams across the ING Group work together to build the products we sell to our customers. Furthermore, you continuously improve the working practices of the tribe, while providing a positive and safe environment for our people to learn from their mistakes and from each other.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Test Lead you will:
- Liaise with the Test Center of Excellence to understand and deliver input for standardization, processes and tools and make sure that the standards and policies are well interpreted and delivered. You take this message to the squads and align and identify the areas of improvement and keep track of all the required improvements / stabilizations and report back on these towards the IT (Area) Leads.
- You identify the testing needs within the squads. You make sure to either share your knowledge or connect the squads with the right people to gather the best practices.
- You make sure the squads are familiar with ongoing testing initiatives and learn from eachother .
- With the IT (Area) Leads you report the current testing maturity, define improvements, and define the roadmap to make these improvements happen within the agreed timelines.
- Identify the testing needs of the Tribe and have full view of the testing goals.
- Liaise with the TCoE to implement the recommendations and best practices in the squads.
- Encourage “Shift Left”, do proper unit and unit integration tests based on comprehensive requirements.
- Play the PO role for a team of Quality Assurance engineers.

As Test Lead you:
- Completed bachelor's degree.
- Have at least 10 years of professional experience as Quality Assurance engineer.
- Have minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management.
- You are a certified Product Owner and are experienced with working in an Agile environment.
- Manoeuvre comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics.
- Actively seeks new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels.
- You are structured & proactive in problem-solving.
- You are able to identify and remove obstacles in a timely manner.
- Have strong communication skills and presentation skills.
- Are persistent in your approach and able to align with different stakeholders.
- Are flexible and you easily adapt to a changing environment.
- Work independently, ensuring that the implications of testing decisions are thoroughly considered and addressed.
