Job Description & Summary

Are you an IT professional with test management experience in banking or financial services, looking for a client-facing role in an international environment?

We are looking for a German-speaking Test Manager to join our expanding CIO Advisory & Cloud team in Slovakia. This role supports an international initiative delivering projects for financial services clients in the DACH region. You will collaborate with international teams and work directly with German-speaking stakeholders to help ensure the successful delivery of complex transformation initiatives—including core system implementations, large-scale IT transformations, regulatory change programs, and cloud migration projects in banking and insurance.

As a Test Manager for German projects at PwC, your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and aligning test strategies for implementation and transformation projects

  • Steering test preparation and execution activities across teams and workstreams

  • Ensuring excellent quality and consistency of test documentation (plans, concepts, evidence, reporting)

  • Providing consistent and transparent test progress reporting to stakeholders (status, risks, decisions, defect trends)

Requirements of the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of experience as a Test Manager on large-scale projects, ideally within an ITIL environment

  • Banking and/or insurance domain experience is a strong plus

  • Strong skills in managing external and internal stakeholders; confident in a client-facing consulting setting

  • Experience using German (C1) and English (B2-C1) in a professional environment

  • ISTQB certification (Expert level or equivalent) is a plus—practical delivery experience is key

  • Experience with test tools such as Azure Test Plans / Azure DevOps, Micro Focus ALM, Jira Xray, Jira, Confluence, Selenium, UiPath, SoapUI

  • Ability to apply or enable test automation (e.g., UI browser-based testing with Selenium; SAP Solution Manager / Azure DevOps / Micro Focus ALM where applicable)

What we offer:

  • International Projects: Work with clients from the DACH region and be part of an international environment that provides exciting opportunities for professional growth and cross‑cultural collaboration.

  • Growth Opportunities: Join a growing team with clear paths for career development – both in testing expertise and in consulting/management roles.

  • For candidates with many years of experience (especially Test Managers), the salary is negotiable based on experience and proven seniority.

  • Contract type: Full-time

  • Start date: By agreement
