We are now looking for a

Test Manager, R&D Testers + Chapter Lead

to be responsible for managing the development and optimization of testing tools and simulators used in hardware testing within our R&D department. This role is for a technical expert who can design effective testing solutions and collaborate with various teams inside the company and suppliers to integrate them into the product development lifecycle. Leading a small team is also part of the role.


You will be part of Global Reliability Laboratory inside shared R&D services of KONE Technology & Innovation in HyvinkÀÀ, Finland. Main focus of the work is on R&D test systems and its management and you will report to the Head of Hardware testing. We have a hybrid model of working with minimum three days in the office per week.

Main responsibilities

-Ownership of R&D tester development

-Developing new/existing platforms together with requesting projects and suppliers

-Budget control and planning together with roadmapping

-Leading a team

We expect you to have

-MSc or BSc degree in relevant field - electrical engineering, automation engineering or similar

-Min. 3 years of experience in R&D or Test Engineering

-Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices

-Disciplined working methods with willingness and ability to work as a member of international team

-Willingness and ability to develop working methods and processes

-Fluent English language skills

-People leading experience is an asset

-Programming and AI skills are an asset

-Willingness to travel is an asset
