We’re looking for a highly engaged Unit & Integration Test Engineer to join our automotive team, contributing to the validation and quality assurance of embedded software systems. You will play a key role in ensuring software reliability through structured testing approaches and close collaboration with development teams. This role is well suited for freelancers or independent consultants looking to work on complex automotive embedded projects.

 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Design, develop, and execute unit and integration test cases
  • Perform unit testing using Tessy
  • Develop and execute integration tests using CANoe & Debugger
  • Create and maintain test scripts and test environments in CANoe
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and support debugging activities
  • Use debugging tools (e.g. Tasking) to investigate software behavior
  • Ensure compliance with automotive testing standards and methodologies
  • Collaborate with developers and system engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools

 

 

What you'll bring along

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Hands-on experience with Tessy for unit testing
  • Experience using CANoe, including test case creation and execution
  • Familiarity with debugging tools (ideally Tasking)
  • Good understanding of ASPICE processes and testing methodologies
  • Previous experience in automotive projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a structured and process-driven environment
