Job Description
You will be part of the Wholesale Operational Readiness Centre (WORC), responsible for ensuring seamless implementation of technology and process changes across Cash, Payments, Trade, Loans, and Channels Operations. The role focuses heavily on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and operational readiness, particularly for Cash Management, Payments and/or Channels initiatives.
Candidates must have strong knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, Cross-Border Payments & Reporting Plus (CBPR+), and endβtoβend payment processing flows.
Key Responsibilities:
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Analyse Business Requirements and Functional Specifications / User Stories with specific attention to cash operations and payment flows.
Design comprehensive UAT test cases using TOSCA or other bankβapproved tools, ensuring full coverage across SWIFT MT/MX messages, ISO 20022 schemas, and related mapping rules.
Ensure endβtoβend requirements traceability between functional specs and test cases.
Facilitate test case walkthroughs with business and operations stakeholders; incorporate feedback into final test packs.
Identify suitable scenarios for test automation and collaborate with the Automation Lead to build automated test coverage.
Drive execution of both manual and automated tests according to the UAT plan, ensuring alignment with test strategy and timelines.
Log, track, and manage defects through the entire lifecycle; participate in defect calls and retesting cycles.
Review UAT outcomes, publish test metrics, and provide go/noβgo input based on operational readiness.
Perform exploratory testing to uncover edgeβcase defects or operational gaps.
Payments & Operational Expertise
Provide domain expertise in Cash Operations, crossβborder payments, clearing, settlement, and related operational workflows.
Validate and troubleshoot SWIFT MT/MX messages, payment mapping, field-level rules, schema validation, and CBPR+ compliance.
Partner with Product, Technology, and Operations to resolve payment processing issues and ensure readiness for transformation or system migration programs.
Review system enhancements to ensure operational suitability and compliance with market standards.
Training, Documentation & Readiness
Deliver operational readiness support for new systems, enhancements, or payment platform changes.
Conduct training sessions for operations and business users on new functionalities, processes, or payment message updates (MT to MX migration, ISO 20022 changes, etc.).
Provide postβimplementation support and validation to ensure smooth cutover and stable BAU.
Prepare and submit management reporting as part of the Bankβs Software Development Framework (SDF).
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience in financial institutions, preferably in Cash Management or Payments Operations or Channels .
Strong understanding of SWIFT standards (MT & MX), ISO 20022 formats, CBPR+, and crossβborder payment flows.
Solid experience in testing or test management, including UAT planning, test execution, and defect governance.
Proficient in TOSCA or similar enterprise testing tools.
Strong analytical, problemβsolving, and documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
Experience managing and guiding teams; able to lead discussions and influence stakeholders.
Strong ownership mindsetβdrives issues to closure and delivers within project timelines.
Ability to build strong working relationships across business, operations, technology, and project teams.
Mature, selfβdriven individual with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and people development skills.
