Test Engineer
We're searching for a creative and motivated Wireless Test Engineer, with a strong technical background in validation and experience troubleshooting complex problems. As a member of the Car Experience Quality organization, you will work with your peers and cross-functional partners in test planning, developing and deploying test scripts, analyzing test data and field telemetry to extract meaningful insights, tracking program metrics, and reporting comprehensive quality status to key partners. Your keen attention to detail, passion for technology, data-informed approach, wireless protocol expertise, and desire to make a difference, will help drive the success of our products in the market.


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in software and/or hardware testing
  • 2+ years of dedicated WiFi testing experience, including protocol validation, performance testing, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with WiFi testing tools and equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, protocol analyzers, chamber testing)
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python or Swift preferred), with practical experience in automation for testing purposes
  • Experience in analyzing datasets (e.g., test results, logs) to identify patterns, troubleshoot issues, or inform decision-making
  • Ability to communicate and document complex issues clearly and bring attention to emerging problems


  • Strong expertise in WiFi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax), including understanding of channel management, roaming, and interference mitigation
  • Experience with automotive WiFi implementations and vehicle connectivity scenarios
  • Familiarity with WiFi security protocols (WPA2/WPA3) and enterprise authentication methods
  • In-depth experience with wireless technology (Bluetooth Classic/LE, UWB), video and audio, and/or automotive infotainment
  • Experience in developing test strategies, getting alignment with key partners, and conducting end-to-end validation via manual and automated tests, ideally informed by data insights
  • Ability to prioritize a full workload while achieving extraordinary quality


At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
