ABOUT THIS POSITION
Right now, we are looking for an outstanding, brilliant, and driven Advanced QA Engineer to join our growing team. The Advanced QA Engineer is responsible for testing the company's products to ensure that company standards and specifications are met. Responsibilities include executing test cases, creating and running automated scripts, creating defect reports, and working with Application Engineering to troubleshoot issues. The Advanced QA Engineer will perform some, or all, of the following types of testing: functional, regression, usability, and load/performance. Also, the QA Engineer works closely with the Manager, Application Engineering to ensure that the product is meeting the Waystar quality standards.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Possesses domain expertise in one or more sections of aย Waystarย engineered product (UI,ย back-end, X12, security, etc.)ย ย ย
Takes ownership of project priorities, deadlines, and deliverablesย
Able to convert complex manual test cases into automated tests, including tests with no existing pattern to followย
Automated tests produced demonstrate sophistication of readability/reusability of code, and can employ complex SQL scriptingย
Develops, runs,ย and maintains manual tests and test cases withinย theย software test suite; follows up with leadership to have test plans reviewed and approved, executesย tests,ย &ย records results and defectsย
Works withย Application Engineers to reproduce & resolve problems in the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of new or enhanced software features built byย Application Engineeringย
Ensuresย theย quality ofย Application Engineering releases, and thatย Application Engineering efforts match their functional requirementsย
Thoroughly understands and followsย Applicationย Engineering and QA processes and proceduresย
Within scope of assignments, establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of work and communicates technical issues toย Applicationย Engineers, QA leadership,ย Lead Application Engineers,ย andย Managers,ย Application Engineeringย
Analyzes and reproduces problems reported by Client Success; acquiresย aย complete set of relevant data,ย soย thatย the problem can be accurately characterizedย

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
4+ yearsโ experience with Microsoft Test Manager (MTM)ย
4+ yearsโ experience writing SQL queriesย
1+ year(s) ofย experience programming with Microsoft.NETย ย
Highย attention to detailย
Ability to execute recurring tasks with precisionย
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilitiesย
Self-motivatedย andย drivenย
Bachelorโs degree in related field or equivalent work experienceย
4+ yearsโ experience in a Quality Assurance roleย isย preferredย
Experience with X12 orย Healthcareย Revenueย Cycleย Managementย isย preferredย
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is preferredย
