Position Overview:
The Software Developer in Test III role is responsible for ensuring the quality of the Engineering departmentβs work by utilizing automated testing methodologies with a strong focus on automated test development. The SDET III can contribute towards QA standards efforts and make significant adjustments and improvements to automated tests and supporting libraries.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in JavaScript/Typescript automation
- 1+ years experience in Playwright or Cypress
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience
- ISTQB Advanced Level Certification (Test Engineer) or equivalent
- experience Mastery of Quality Assurance concepts and method Mastery of Git, bug tracking, troubleshooting, and Linux command line usage Mastery of automated test development and maintenance
- Mastery of test automation infrastructure, tooling, and library development
Essential Functions:
- Contributes towards department goals, projects, standards, and documentation
- Can create automation cases for systems of high complexity.
- Can develop medium complexity SDLC automation/non-functional qualities tools from scratch.
- Can identify root cause of technical issues and work to resolve them.
- Is familiar with creating test automation abstraction, extension and the supporting framework.
- Understands and can clearly explain the high-level architecture and design of their team's systems. Can provide risk analysis and input on test strategy.
- Can identify and communicate must-have test coverage for critical functionality.
- Work with developers to achieve best test design and test pyramid strategy.
