Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Mid-Level Test Engineer with 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Selenium automation to ensure the quality and reliability of our web-based applications. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable automated test solutions and work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Selenium WebDriver automation scripts for functional, regression, and cross-browser testing
- Create and execute test cases based on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility using drivers such as ChromeDriver and GeckoDriver
- Integrate automated tests with frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Pytest
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to identify test scenarios and resolve defects
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and ensure application quality
- Document test results, log defects, and perform root-cause analysis
- Participate in code reviews to uphold automation best practices
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Continuously evaluate and improve automation processes, tools, and standards
- Work with new AI driven automation techniques
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6-8 years of experience in web application test automation using Selenium WebDriver
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
- Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Pytest
- Solid understanding of automation architecture, design patterns, and scripting best practices
- Hands-on experience with Git and defect-tracking tools such as JIRA
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser behavior
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar platforms
- Exposure to API testing (Postman, REST-assured)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
