Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Lead with strong hands-on experience in Python-based automation to lead quality initiatives across our products. The role requires both technical expertise and team leadership, ensuring end-to-end quality delivery in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QA team, including task allocation, mentoring, and performance tracking.
- Define QA strategy, testing standards, and best practices across projects.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Python, Pytest, and Playwright.
- Perform and oversee API testing using Postman for manual testing.
- Implement automation for APIs using Python Request library.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage including functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
- Review requirements, user stories, and technical designs for testability.
- Track, report, and drive closure of defects with engineering teams.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure adherence to quality, security, and compliance standards relevant to fintech products.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 2+ years in a QA Lead / Team Lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python automation using Pytest and Playwright.
- Experience in API testing using Postman for manual testing.
- Hands-on experience with Python Request library for API automation.
- Solid understanding of manual testing concepts and test design techniques.
- Experience in handling and mentoring QA teams (mandatory).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Good to Have
- Experience in fintech, payments, BFSI, or transactional systems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Exposure to performance or security testing.
- Experience with databases and SQL.
