We’re looking for a curious and motivated graduate to join our Software Quality Assurance team in Basildon. This role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. You’ll be embedded in a team of experienced professionals, gaining practical experience in testing and quality control as part of a fast-paced development environment.Β 

Β 

You’ll play a key role in the software development lifecycle, helping ensure our platforms meet the highest quality standards, and learning a broad range of skills in testing methodologies, development tools, and client-focused delivery.Β 

Β 

What you’ll be doing:Β 

  • Writing and executing manual test cases across key applicationsΒ 

  • Supporting the design and execution of automated testsΒ 

  • Using SQL queries to validate data and support defect analysisΒ 

  • Logging and tracking bugs and performance issuesΒ 

  • Working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure requirements are metΒ 

  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to improvements in testing practicesΒ 

Β 

What we’re looking for:Β 

  • A 2:2 or above in Computer Science or related field – graduating in 2024 - 2025Β 

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinkingΒ 

  • Experience or familiarity with SQL, PLSQL, XML or HTMLΒ 

  • An understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing conceptsΒ 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenΒ 

  • A willingness to take ownership of your work and seek out learning opportunitiesΒ 

Β 

Desirable (but not essential):Β 

  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Selenium, or APIsΒ 

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as C#, VBScript, or PythonΒ 

  • Awareness of testing frameworks or quality assurance principlesΒ 

  • Experience with Agile delivery environmentsΒ

Your development journey:Β 

You’ll receive support from a dedicated mentor, access to a strong peer network of other graduates, and opportunities to collaborate with teams across the business. Over 18–24 months, you’ll build your skills and confidence, with the aim of progressing into a Junior Software Quality Engineer role.Β 

Β 

Rotations:Β 

You’ll rotate through different project teams and may spend time in Production Support to gain broader knowledge of the business and its software systems.Β
