We are seeking Test Engineer to join our Physical Sciences & Systems business unit located a stone’s throw from seaside Newport, Rhode Island. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to execution of test plans for Linux & VxWorks software development efforts, hardware & software integration efforts, and test planning and development.
The ideal candidate enjoys in a multi-disciplinary role and is comfortable adapting to and identifying new technologies as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
β€’ Develop test plans, test procedures, and test tools for multiple programs
β€’ Perform testing of both HW and SW systems, isolate failures, and propose solutions
β€’ Interface with DoD clients executing formal sell-off test events and integration test periods
β€’ Work closely with development teams when bugs are identified to track and resolve issues
β€’ Requirements tracking and verification

Qualifications You Must Have:
β€’ An active DoD secret clearance
β€’ BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant discipline and 5 years of experience or MS grad with degree and 3 years of experience.
β€’ Test execution experience in software environments, and documentation of test results Experience with test tracking software tools.
β€’ Position may require some amount of overnight travel. Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
Qualifications We Prefer:
β€’ Experience and knowledge of software development in C Experience working with embedded systems Experience with Atlassian toolset (i.e. Jira and Confluence)
β€’ Experience in QA or configuration management

β€’ Years of Experience Required (if any):
o 5-8 years
β€’ Education Level Required:
β€’ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

o Completes integration and sell-off testing events with knowledge sufficient for success
o Develops complete and successful test plans and test procedures
o Develops tools usable by self and others to support smoke testing, integration testing, and harnessing of SW and HW components.
o Completes support of HW/SW system acceptance testing and reporting with deliverables accepted by customer.
