Research Solutions is looking for a Junior QA Analyst to join our team. This is a contract-based position for a highly capable QA professional with 2-3 years of experience in functional testing, defect tracking and reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and performance of our digital products, ensuring they meet defined standards and delivery timelines. Your attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will help ensure a seamless user experience across multiple platforms. This position reports to the QA Manager.
Location & Work Status
This is aΒ remote, full-time contractor position based in Mexico. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for invoicing for your services. You'll work closely with our team across departments, participating in meetings and contributing to company initiatives.Β
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design comprehensive test cases.
- Conduct functional and regression testing to identify and address potential issues.
- Track and register defects, collaborating with the development team to ensure timely resolution (defect lifecycle).
- Retest applications after bug fixes to confirm effective resolution.
- Provide daily status updates to team leaders and project stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a QA role, with demonstrated proficiency in functional testing, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good to have
- Strong familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including both Waterfall and Agile.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus.
