Skiddle was born in 2001 as a what's on guide and began selling tickets in 2006 and is now one of the UK's most loved ticketing services selling tickets for tens of thousands of events throughout the UK, from independent club nights through to 60,000 capacity festivals. Skiddle currently sells tickets for the likes of The Warehouse Project, Creamfields, Digbeth Dining Club and Live Nation, and hundreds of independent venues and promoters across the country. Likewise, we host the largest festival guide in Europe.
Role Summary:
We are passionate about building innovative platforms, including powering Skiddle.com, one of the UK's leading high-traffic event ticketing platforms. Our development team thrives on solving technical challenges and creating seamless digital experiences. You'll be joining as part of our growing QA function, working with multiple different product teams.
You'll report directly to the QA Engineer Team Lead. You'll work really closely with our other QA Engineer within our QA function as well as developers and business analysts from our product teams. You'll also get to work with our Product Owner and CTO.
Responsibilities:
At Skiddle as a Junior QA Engineer there's going to be lots of room for you to grow and progress in your career. There'll be lots to learn about our practices, products, tools and technologies that we use at Skiddle as well as learning what you need to excel within your role. As you learn more technical skills and practices you'll naturally transition into a QA Engineer role and further into a Senior QA Engineer role.

Our ideal candidate is someone that's interested in quality assurance and testing. You're naturally curious and you like to know how things work, you're inquisitive and ask plenty of questions. You love to learn and you're definitely not afraid to get stuck in and do some self learning from time to time.
You're a great communicator and you can articulate yourself well verbally or in a written manner. You've got a really keen eye for detail and you understand the importance of quality. Working as part of our QA function will see you working with a few different product teams, so you need to be comfortable working as part of a team and because of the nature of what we do you'll also need to be comfortable working on something alone.
You're keen to solve problems and you're good at thinking critically. You're passionate about technology and comfortable using it. You're interested in programming or have a desire to learn. Even better if you already have some experience in programming. You have experience working in quality, not necessarily in the software development domain but it'll definitely help. You also have an understanding of software testing and some knowledge of software testing methods.
