About the Role

The Junior QA Engineer plays a critical role in assisting the team to deliver high quality, functioning software to stakeholders. 

As an aspiring Subject Matter Area Expert in Quality Assurance, the Jr. QA Engineer is in-charge of Quality to make sure that features are delivered in a CICD fashion, with minimal to no manual interventions.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the AGILE Team to write automated acceptance tests, covering Acceptance Criteria and ensuring quality for each increment. 
• Monitor and understand the impact of tools like Dynatrace and Splunk. 
• Develop and apply Quality Assurance Best Practices within the team, ensuring necessary tests are available in the pipeline for every release.
• Participate in Incident and Problem Retrospectives, ensuring action items are closed to prevent chronic issues. 
• Track Tech quality KPIs, metrics/KPIs for improving platform and delivery, regarding quality and performance., and key QA Metrics like Total Number of Open Bugs and Time to Resolve.  
• Assist in developing tools or Proof of Concept (POC) to support the QA strategy. 
• Advocate for the Test Strategy and ensure AGILE Team adheres to quality standards.

What You Bring

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in quality assurance
• Experience in test automation using Java, Typescript, or any other object-oriented development language
• Experience in GIT tools like GitLab or GitHub
• Good understanding of SOLID principles, and CI/CD methodologies
• Good understanding of containerization technologies such as Rancher and Docker
• Familiarity with test approaches: acceptance, API and performance testing
• Familiarity with analysis and reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Allure
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Amenable to working onsite 3 times a week at Sheridan Business Center, Mandaluyong City.
