Purpose of the role / Summary:

This role supports the quality assurance process by executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring software meets defined requirements. Working closely with QA and development teams, the candidate will perform functional and regression testing, report bugs, and help maintain test documentation. The role also offers opportunities to learn and contribute to test automation efforts over time. Active participation in Agile ceremonies and team collaboration are key aspects of this position.

Main Activities & Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand requirements
  • Create and execute test cases based on specifications
  • Perform functional and regression testing
  • Report and track bugs using issue tracking tools
  • Assist in maintaining test documentation
  • Learn and gradually support test automation efforts
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to team discussions
  • Any other duties relevant to the roleΒ 


Required Skills & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering or related engineering fields, Management Information Systems from a recognized university
  • Proficient and fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Software testing principles and SDLC
  • Functional testing techniques
  • Issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira)
  • Version control (e.g. Git)
  • Basic API testing (e.g. Postman)
  • HTML / CSS fundamentals
  • JavaScript / TypeScript (would be an advantage)
  • Test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright) - would be an advantage
  • CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Β  - would be an advantageΒ 
  • Working with SQL and databases - would be an advantage

  • Working hours are 09:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday or as per the departmental flextime arrangement
  • The role is in Istanbul, Turkiye
