We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong Medicaid domain expertise to join our VIMO team. This role requires a deep understanding of Medicaid systems along with strong analytical and technical capabilities to ensure high-quality delivery in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual and automated test cases for Medicaid system workflows
  • Validate backend data using SQL queries and ensure data integrity
  • Test APIs and backend services using tools such as Postman
  • Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, and verify fixes
  • Perform end-to-end testing aligned with Medicaid business and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze systems deeply to identify gaps, risks, and compliance issues
  • Review business requirements and ensure coverage for Medicaid-specific scenarios
  • Perform testing in production-like environments to validate release readiness
  • Use UNIX/Linux commands to debug and analyze system logs
  • Contribute to automation and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business stakeholders

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Β· Strong hands-on experience with Medicaid systems (mandatory)

Β· 3–5 years of experience in QA, software testing, development, or test automation

Β· Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Β· Experience writing SQL queries for data validation

Β· Experience testing APIs and backend systems

Β· Programming or scripting experience

Β· Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands

Β· Experience working in Agile environments

Β· Ability to understand complex workflows and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Β· Experience with test automation tools and frameworks

Β· Exposure to AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex)

Β· Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards

Β· Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)

Β· Experience working with cross-functional teams
