Medicaid QA Engineer

We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong Medicaid domain expertise to join our VIMO team. This role requires a deep understanding of Medicaid systems along with strong analytical and technical capabilities to ensure high-quality delivery in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute manual and automated test cases for Medicaid system workflows
• Validate backend data using SQL queries and ensure data integrity
• Test APIs and backend services using tools such as Postman
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, and verify fixes
• Perform end-to-end testing aligned with Medicaid business and regulatory requirements
• Analyze systems deeply to identify gaps, risks, and compliance issues
• Review business requirements and ensure coverage for Medicaid-specific scenarios
• Perform testing in production-like environments to validate release readiness
• Use UNIX/Linux commands to debug and analyze system logs
• Contribute to automation and process improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

· Strong hands-on experience with Medicaid systems (mandatory)

· 3–5 years of experience in QA, software testing, development, or test automation

· Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

· Experience writing SQL queries for data validation

· Experience testing APIs and backend systems

· Programming or scripting experience

· Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands

· Experience working in Agile environments

· Ability to understand complex workflows and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with test automation tools and frameworks

· Exposure to AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex)

· Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards

· Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)

· Experience working with cross-functional teams
