Where you Fit In:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal QA Engineer to join our team. You will have a strong understanding of the gaming industry, exceptional analysis skills, and will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and enabling the QA Engineering Strategy. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, and working with multiple internal teams, you will play a crucial role in driving quality and processes balancing manual and automation testing.

The impact you will have:

​

• Establish and track quality-centric KPIs such as defect-escape rate, flaky-test ratio, and mean time-to-detect, etc.
• Consistent, proactive collaboration with Business Analysts (BAs) in order to deliver a shared vision for User Acceptance Criteria that can serve as a common language between delivery, development and quality assurance.
• Design and roll out automation-first strategies that raise test coverage and reduce cycle time, uncovering “shift-left” opportunities that speed feature delivery.
• Partner with Data & BI teams to mine production telemetry and defect analytics, turning usage patterns into risk-based test priorities for upcoming releases.
• Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Legal to codify release gates and quality standards, ensuring audit-readiness and reducing post-release liability.
• Work hand-in-hand with Engineering Managers and Team Leads to align test plans with sprint goals and architectural road-maps, making quality a shared objective.
• Support teams during release readiness reviews, surfacing trends in test stability and coverage so teams can course-correct before code lands in production.
• Stay on the pulse of industry tools, standards, and emerging techniques, evaluating and piloting innovations such as contract testing, AI-assisted test generation, and chaos engineering.
• Collaborate with Head of Engineering and CTO to demonstrate ROI for quality automation investments, feeding data into quarterly reviews.
• Drive adoption campaigns for shared frameworks—authoring playbooks, workshops, and office hours that accelerate onboarding and standardise best practices.
• Represent the engineering organisation internally and externally showcasing our quality engineering achievements.

What we’re looking for:

​

Proven experience (8+ years) in QA Engineering and/or related roles within the gaming industry.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Advanced English level

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Extensive experience with Java and related technologies

Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
