QA Analyst

Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to support testing efforts across multiple development projects. This role is responsible for executing test strategies, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality software delivery that meets business and user expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using test management tools
• Perform ongoing regression testing across multiple applications and systems
• Support multi-phase testing efforts and ensure timely project delivery
• Maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, and testing results
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and results to stakeholders
• Assist in improving QA processes, standards, and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience as a QA Analyst or Manual Tester
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall)
• Hands-on experience writing and executing detailed test cases
• Experience with tools such as Jira, HP Quality Center/ALM, Xray, or similar
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with structured development environments (dev/test/production)
• Exposure to automated testing tools is a plus
• Experience testing web, mobile, API, and backend systems
