CHESS Health, based in Rochester, NY, is a rapidly growing healthcare technology, software, and services company focused on addressing the crisis of substance use disorder (SUD).  CHESS offers a platform of solutions for the full SUD lifecycle; the solutions are ePrevention, eIntervention, and eRecovery. The eRecovery solution includes the evidence-based Connections App, given to individuals in treatment and recovery from SUD. CHESS Health’s customers include health plans, state and local governments, SUD and behavioral health providers, and more.

 

The Position

CHESS seeks a motivated QA Analyst to create tests to identify software problems, analyze bugs and errors found during tests, document results of tests, recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience, motivate the development process for efficiency and performance, check over updates/releases, look for potential issues, and support/look into issues and potential bugs that are experienced.

 

Your Value Proposition

  • Experience in software development and testing is required
  • Proficiency in computer technology
  • Basic understanding of SQL and JavaScript 
  • Strong Testing abilities, a knack for identifying problems and potential causes, as well as a conceptual understanding of how things work
  • Detail oriented and motivated
  • Strong organization and writing skills
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-moving organization, adapting to change and iterating over work
  • Collaborative, with the ability to work cross-functionally; you are excited about sharing knowledge and leveraging technology, and can work successfully in a matrix environment with project team members from multiple/different organizations
  • Experience with automated testing languages or experience with testing software like Cypress and Postman is a plus
  • We prefer the position to be hybrid in Rochester New York, but can be fully remote for the right applicant
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
