Intermediate Technical Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst – Software

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Intermediate QA Analyst to join our growing software development team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our core platforms


This role requires a blend of technical testing expertise, a sharp eye for design adherence, and strong business acumen. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, integrating closely with the development team, and actively participating in our Agile processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated browser tests using Playwright.
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to ensure software meets technical and business specifications.
  • Conduct cross-browser testing to ensure consistent user experience and visual accuracy, especially for Nectar Pay.
  • Attend daily stand-ups and development meetings to stay aligned with evolving feature requirements.
  • Write clear and comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Create and maintain QA documentation and client-facing Confluence articles for Nectar Pay.
  • Provide UI/UX feedback based on a strong understanding of both functional and visual design elements.
  • Participate in practical testing exercises during the interview process to demonstrate problem-solving and strategic thinking.


Must-Have Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong background in test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, preferably using JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of web application testing, including UI, functional, regression, and cross-browser testing.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English, with the ability to write professional documentation and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Experience working within Agile development teams and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Proven ability to understand business context and contribute to product usability and design validation.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Prior software development experience, particularly with JavaScript, to enhance ability to write and debug automated tests.
  • Familiarity with additional automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium).
  • UI/UX sensibility with the ability to identify discrepancies between implemented and intended designs.
  • Experience with testing payment platforms or transactional systems.
