About RoleΒ -Β RemoteΒ QA Engineer
As a QA Engineer youβll be responsible for:
- Establish QA foundations:Β design and implement a comprehensive QA strategy, including the development of testing frameworks and methodologies tailored to client's needs.
- Automate testing processes:Β develop and maintain automated test scripts and methodologies to enhance our testing efficiency and coverage, reducing reliance on manual testing.
- Improve product robustness:Β identify, document, and track defects, ensuring they are resolved before product releases. Ensure key features, especially integrations (eg. Jira, Slack), are thoroughly tested.
- Monitor and report:Β implement monitoring tools and processes to catch issues proactively, ensuring we are aware of integration failures and other critical issues before our users.
- Collaborate cross-functionally:Β work closely with developers, designers, founders and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure the highest quality in product releases.
- Champion a culture of quality:Β raise the quality bar within the team, fostering a proactive approach to bug identification and resolution.
- Drive documentation:Β document testing processes, procedures, and best practices for future reference and team training.
What do we value:
βΒ Experience:Β +3 years of experience in QA engineering, working with scaleups, being exposed to a growing number of users.Β
βΒ Technical:Β
- Proficiency in writing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress.
- Experience with manual testing, including exploratory testing and regression testing.Β
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (manual, exploratory, automation).Β
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the build process.Β
- Understanding of web technologies and cloud platforms (preferably GCP).Β
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.Β
βΒ Problem-Solving:Β strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.Β
βΒ Communication:Β excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote first environment.Β
